AUSTRALIA KRIYA YOGA ASSOCIATION
(AKYA)

“AUSTRALIA KRIYA YOGA ASSOCIATION” was incorporated in NSW, Australia on 28^th July 2004 as a non-profit organization to promote the authentic original Kriya Yoga in Australia as taught by Paramahamsa Hariharananda, Paramahamsa Prajnanananda or by the Kriya Yoga teachers authorized by them.

The Association is affiliated with the Prajnana Mission of India.

In the lineage of Kriya philosophy - Prajnana Mission was founded by Paramahamsa Prajnanananda, on the advice and divine guidance of his Guru Paramahamsa Hariharananda in 1993. Paramahamsa Prajnananandaji is the president of Kriya organizations started by Baba Hariharanandaji Maharaj and the current head of a great lineage of Kriya Yoga Guru Tradition.

 

Main Activities of AKYA

• To host visits of Paramahamsa Prajnananandaji or his designated Kriya Yoga teachers to Australia.
• The teaching of Kriya Yoga technique through initiation.
• Facilitation of group meditation.
• Dissemination of information about Kriya Yoga by means of lectures, seminars and retreats.
• Distribution of Kriya Yoga books and literature.

 

Learning Kriya Yoga

Normally there will be one opportunity each year to learn Kriya Yoga when Paramahamsa Prajnanananda or one of his designated teachers visits Australia.

AKYA Membership

People already initiated into Kriya Yoga can become a member of the association.
The annual membership for the current financial year is A$50.

Benefits associated with membership are:

• Free subscription to "STITHA PRAJNA" - the quarterly publication from Prajnana Mission.
• 10% Discount on Kriya Yoga books and other articles.
• 10% Discount at the ADYAR Bookshop.
